What is Network Protection?

When you have a group of solar installations under a strata arrangement, the electricity network providers (DNSPs) often consider this as one single point of connection to their network.
We are seeing an increase in the number of developers and strata managers receiving defect notices, stating that the combined total of PV solar installed is greater than the 30KW limit. The most common solution to ensure compliance is to install secondary remote network protection equipment, which prevents grid instability from the installed solar generators disrupting the grid by remotely disconnecting the installed PV solar units.

Whether you are planning a new or managing an existing development, Elite Power Group has extensive experience providing network grid protection systems for PV Solar installations greater than 30kw. We have proven solutions for new sites as well as retrofitting existing developments. If you find yourself in this situation, please contact our team; we would be more than happy to share our experience and work with you to solve this problem.
