Like any new device these days, there's an app for that, and the Wattpilot is no different. The app allows you to choose the charging mode; you can also adjust the charging rate, anywhere from 10 amps up to 32 amps if you have three-phase power, and schedule charging times.
The idea behind the controls in the app is to configure your EV charging during the cheapest time of day or to utilise your excess solar.
Like most other chargers, the Fronius Wattpilot has a few charging modes to best suit users. The difference with Fronius' modes compared to most other chargers is that the Wattpilot supports Solar charging.
Eco Mode
Eco-mode is designed to charge your vehicle with as much solar or cheap energy as possible with the priority being self-consumption.
Next Trip Mode
The other mode, Next Trip Mode is meant to charge vehicles to cover a specific journey by a specific time to make sure you're charging
in the most efficient way possible.
