Completing a commercial solar PV installation, as well as fleet, customer, and employee electric vehicle charging solutions, this organisation has accelerated their sustainability and independence.
Our neighbours in Thornton were after a solar system that would allow them to be powered by solar energy during the day to power their offices with renewable electricity.
This system would need to produce a good mount of power when the sun is out, and accommodate electric vehicle charging on ECO modes.
The chosen system consisted of 90x Trina solar panels with a 30kW Sungrow PV inverter, totaling 39.6kW of solar energy, to enable this organisation to be more independent and reliant on renewable electricity.
In a daytime-based organisation like theirs, a significant portion of their electricity consumption is throughout the day, so the majority of their usage will be during sunlight hours.
Based on the organisation's electricity bill, we determined that a 40kW solar system would be sufficient to satisfy energy saving goals, as well as staying within budget and expectations.
Solar energy will allow this organisation to offset their daily consumption and reduce operational expenses.
In addition to commercial solar solutions, this organisation also required an electric vehicle charger solution which had the ability to allocate their solar energy to charge not only members, but visitor and fleet electric vehicles on the premises.
The Zappi EV charger was chosen due to its strong solar performance in ECO-modes, to help enable this organisation to use as much solar electricity as they can, absorbing that sunlight.
By pairing commercial EV charging with a large-scale solar system, it allows for a reduced energy bill, which would otherwise increase with higher consumption from the grid.
