Hunter Valley's Leading Residential & Commercial Solar Installers
Hunter Valley's Leading Residential & Commercial Solar Installers
Store the solar energy you generate, keep your home's essentials running when the grid goes down and take
more control of your power. Elite Power Group designs and installs home batteries across the Hunter and NSW.
Elite Power Group designs and installs residential solar battery storage that lets you keep the excess energy your panels generate during the day and use it when you need it most, in the evening, overnight or during an outage.
Based in Thornton, our SAA accredited team works with households across the Hunter and wider NSW to design a home battery system around your home, your usage and your goals.
Every system is designed from your actual setup, so you only pay for the capacity you need. Battery rebates and incentives change often, so we will walk you through what is currently available when you request your quote.

We install home batteries with a proven record for performance and reliability. These are the brands we install across the Hunter and NSW.
With a built in solar inverter, the Tesla Powerwall 3 connects to your solar without needing an external inverter. It offers 13.5 kWh of energy storage and supports up to 20kW of solar, so you can store more of what your panels generate and have backup power when the grid goes down.
Sungrow SBR and SBH batteries are LFP batteries, CEC approved, and one of our favourite batteries to install. We are certified Sungrow battery installers, and with capacities from 6.4kWh to 40kWh we can size the system to your budget and energy needs.
A home battery changes how your household uses power. Here are the main benefits of residential energy storage.
Energy Independence: Rely less on the grid and use more of the power you generate.
Blackout Protection: Keep your essentials running when the grid goes down.
Reduce Electricity Bills: Rely more on the energy you generate with solar storage.
Maximise Solar Generation: Store excess solar and have it available 24/7.
Improve Sustainability: Use renewable power at all times of the day and night.
Increase Property Value: Boost your home's value with solar and battery capacity.
When the grid goes down, a home battery with backup power can keep your essentials running automatically. What it can run depends on how your system is designed, including the battery size, the inverter and which circuits are connected to backup.
Most households choose to back up the essentials:
With a larger system and the right setup, backup can be extended to more of your home, including bigger appliances.
After a three day outage, a customer told us their battery kept the fridge, freezer, internet, lights and ceiling fans running, with the TV, microwave, air fryer and coffee machine on as well.
"Even on miserable weather days it charged enough to run our household with little impact."
Home batteries are designed to be mounted on a wall or sit on the floor in a suitable spot, commonly a garage, carport, the side of the house or a utility area. Many models are rated for outdoor installation, while others need to go indoors or in a protected position.
The right location depends on the battery model, clearances from doors, windows and the switchboard, ventilation, and Australian Standards.
We inspect your property during the design stage and recommend the safest, most practical spot. Not sure whether your garage, wall or side of the house will work? Send us a photo with your quote request.
Instead of relying on bigger solar and battery companies that may prioritise volume and subcontract their
projects, choose local battery installers who prioritise you. Here is how your solar battery installation works from first call to switch
on.
We start with a free consultation about your goals, usage, and your existing solar system. Photos of your switchboard, your solar inverter's side plate and a recent energy bill help us quote accurately, but they are optional.
Our SAA accredited designers plan a system around your home, checking compatibility with your solar, backup requirements, safety, efficiency and the best location for the battery.
On installation day our licensed technicians arrive with your battery. Depending on your setup, we either retrofit the battery to your existing solar system or integrate it directly with a new one.
Safety is one of the most common questions we get about home batteries. We only install CEC approved batteries from reputable brands that meet Australian Standards, and we install them to those standards.
A report from Fire and Rescue indicates that home batteries have a similar ignition rate to personal care
devices like electric toothbrushes, and a lower ignition rate than vacuum cleaners. Read the full breakdown in our fire statistics
article.
Battery rebates and incentives change often. Check the latest on the Federal Battery Subsidy and our battery rebate news, or leave your details and we will send you updates.
