Elite Power Group are certified Sungrow installers across Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock, Lake Macquarie, Port
Stephens and the wider Hunter region. We install the full Sungrow battery range including SBR and SBH - alongside Sungrow's single
and three-phase inverters, for homes and businesses running solar, battery, or both.
As certified Sungrow battery installers, our team handles Sungrow installations day in, day out - not as a side offering, but as one of the systems we know inside out. We install across Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock, Lake Macquarie, and Port Stephens, for both residential and commercial properties.
Every Sungrow battery installation is carried out by fully-qualified battery technicians, covering the full SBH and SBR range alongside Sungrow's single and three-phase inverters. That means one team handling your battery, inverter, and the electrical work that ties them together - not a battery installer and a separate electrician working from different playbooks.
We rate Sungrow highly because the systems are properly integrated: your inverter and battery run as one unit, giving you live monitoring
and control over your solar and storage from a single app, rather than juggling two systems that don't talk to each other.
With the Australian
Federal Battery Subsidy,
Australians can now take advantage of cheaper batteries, making energy storage more affordable and accessible for more. The Cheaper Home
Batteries Program is still available and discounts the price of Sungrow battery storage.
Starting from
Kick-starting the SBH series is the SBH200, consisting of 4x 5kWh modules consisting of 20kWh of energy
storage capacity, 196kg, and advanced LiFEPO4 technology for safety and reliability.
With 2x 3.2kWh battery modules, the Sungrow SBR6.4 offers reliable 6.4kWh of energy storage capacity to help you maximise your solar investment.
*Prices are indicative for the starting cost of a supply and installation, which is subject to change and to site inspection. Price includes estimated federal incentive discount, and does not include hybrid inverter or blackout protection.
The SBH range is the bigger sibling - stackable in 5kWh steps from 20kWh (SBH200) up to 40kWh (SBH400), built for homes with higher overnight usage, EVs, or homes wanting to go close to fully off-grid on a good day. It can be wall-mounted indoors or fitted outdoors depending on your setup.
The SBR range is more compact, stacking in 3.2kWh steps from 6.4kWh (SBR064) up to 25.6kWh (SBR256). It's the better fit for smaller roofs, tighter budgets, or homes that just want to cover evening usage without paying for capacity they won't use.
Both ranges use LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) cells, both are CEC-approved and eligible for the federal battery rebate, and both are built to work as a matched Sungrow battery and inverter pair rather than being retrofitted onto someone else's hardware.
The SBH200 kicks off the SBH range with 20kWh of storage across four 5kWh modules, weighing in at 196kg. It's a solid starting point for households wanting to run through the evening on stored solar, and its LiFePO4 cells are built for a long service life without the fire risk of older lithium chemistries.
Add a fifth module and you get the SBH250, stepping up to 25kWh with 100% usable depth of discharge - meaning you're not paying for capacity you can't actually use. It suits larger households, or anyone wanting a bit more overnight buffer than the SBH200 provides.
The SBH300 brings six modules and 30kWh of capacity, with the flexibility to be mounted indoors or outdoors depending on where it fits your property. It's a common pick for homes with strong daytime solar generation who'd rather store the excess than export it back to the grid.
Seven modules take the SBH350 up to 35kWh, backed by a 10-year warranty and an IP55 weatherproof rating for outdoor installs. This is where the SBH range starts suiting properties with heavier overnight loads - think ducted air conditioning, pool pumps, or EV charging.
At the top of the SBH range, the SBH400 stacks eight modules for 40kWh of storage and up to 28kW of peak power, enough to handle several high-draw appliances running at once. It's built for larger homes, small commercial sites, or anyone wanting to get as close to grid-independent as their property allows.
The SBR064 is the entry point into the SBR range, pairing two battery modules for 6.4kWh of storage. It's a practical fit for smaller households or anyone wanting to cover the basics overnight without a large upfront spend.
Add a third 3.2kWh module and you're at the SBR096, offering 9.6kWh - enough for many Hunter region homes to comfortably cover typical evening usage from stored solar rather than drawing from the grid.
The SBR128 steps up to 12.8kWh across four modules, with 7.68kW of DC power output to handle higher-demand appliances kicking in at once. It's a good middle-ground option for households that found the SBR096 a bit tight.
Built on the same LiFePO4 cells as the rest of the range, the SBR160 delivers 16kWh of safe, stable storage. It's one of the more popular sizes we install, striking a balance between capacity and cost for medium-to-large households.
At 213kg, the SBR192 holds 19.2kWh of capacity with up to 11.52kW of power output on tap - enough headroom for larger homes running multiple high-draw appliances at the same time without dipping into grid power.
Seven 3.2kWh modules bring the SBR224 to 22.4kWh, suiting bigger properties or households wanting a larger buffer heading into winter when solar generation drops off.
The SBR256 tops out the SBR range at 25.6kWh, the largest capacity available before stepping up into the SBH range. It's aimed at high-usage households or small businesses wanting maximum storage without moving to a different battery family altogether.
Sungrow offer a range of energy storage options for all types of homes and businesses looking to maximise the solar energy they produce.
Here are some of the reasons we really like Sungrow.
Being compact and light, Sungrow batteries are designed to allow for single-person installations, saving
you time and money. Being plug and play minimises errors and simplifies the overall installation.
Sungrow batteries offer scalable solutions for future-proof energy storage. Upgrade up to 8-modules per
unit, and 4 units, offering up to 100 kWh in storage options for any application.
Each battery is made up of Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LiFePO4), which is more stable than counterparts. This reduces the overall risk of fires and thermal runaway, maximising your safety even further.
These units offer up to 100% usable energy and 30A charge and discharge currents, which ensures suitability for high-demand applications, maximising the benefits.
